Makeover Diaries: Green Cabinet Console

One of the things that sets us apart from other interior design firms is our ability to take client’s vintage pieces and giving them new life. When we saw this 20-year-old entertainment unit, we were inspired. The piece was functional, but just not exciting in the space.

When we laid out our plans for the room, the built-in unit gave us the opportunity to add color and transform it to look like a real piece of furniture.

The cabinet was painted with a luxurious high gloss finish. To add even more glamour to the piece, we changed the knobs to make it relevant to today’s interiors. All these upgrades made the entertainment console an exciting focal point to the room. We filled the shelves with family photos, books and decorative Chinoiserie jars to finish off the look.

Remaking our client’s old pieces into new, exciting conversation pieces is one of our favorite parts of the design process. Hope this offers some fun inspiration for taking a new look at your old pieces and giving them a second chance!

Cheers!
